This story was inspired by my dad's dedication, patience, and love throughout a 13 year battle against ALS. Although the disease created many challenges in his life, he never gave up and his smile never wavered.
ALS is a terminal illness with no known cause. It deteriorates the body's neurons that control voluntary muscles.
